The PRODIPE GUITARS ST83RA series follows the greatest tradition of SOLID BODY guitar manufacture. The best craftsmen for an unmatched result: a good density basswood body, a neck in vintage varnished maple, a rosewood fingerboard for a warmer, less percussive sound. We have also chosen to fit ALNICO V pickups, and a set of nickel-coated D'ADDARIO 9-42 strings for an exceptional result in this price range. ALNICO V pickups are made with an aluminium-nickel-cobalt alloy, which offers several advantages : Lower magnetic field than a ceramic pickup, for optimum string vibration giving more sustain. Unlike ceramic pickups, ALNICO pickups contain 6 separate magnets. This allows us to choose the perfect configuration for each string during manufacture, thus achieving better balance. The aluminium-nickel-cobalt alloy is also ideal for a palette of warm, full, precise sounds. Finally, the pickup configuration of the ST83RA range comprises a double coil pickup and two single coils; the double pickup provides a high output level, ideal for heavy saturations and without parasite sound. The Crosby is a versatile high efficiency class-D stereo power amplifier which doesfor a perfect pair with the Young MkIII, both in size and sound. Its clean power is enough for most speakers, while its drive capability can be improved by setting it in bridge mode.In this case, the Crosby becomes a powerful mono amplifier; two Crosby in bridge mode can drive virtuallyevery speaker, be it an array of dynamic drivers or an electrostatic panel. Of course, the Crosby can be attached to every preamplifier, not only to the Young MkIII.It is provided with both single-ended and balanced inputs, plus trigger input/pass-through. Thanks to its class-D design, it is virtually impossible to destroy, all overload situations are reported on the front panel. Extremely Low Noise Power Supply When it comes to high audio performance, the quality of the current being delivered to a hi-fi unit is overly important. Noise in the supply current may be injected into the sound or couple with critical circuits, like the clock, leading to less-than-optimal performance. A low noise supply is therefore mandatory to squeeze the last bit of sound quality out of your DAC or amplifier. Of course, a low noise design involves quality, room occupation and cost way beyond those acceptable in budget designs. That’s why M2Tech offers the Van Der Graaf MkII: users who purchased the Young MkIII and the Nash Phono Preampmplifier may later allocate some more budget to increase their performance by adding the Van Der Graaf MkII. Extremely easy to use, its benefits go from the higher stability of the clocks (with related increased soundstage sharpness and details rendition) to a darker background due to the lower noise floor. The Van Der Graaf MkII remembers the order user followed to activate the four outputs: when switching off, it follows the reverse order and remember the activation order upon subsequient switch-on. The Van Der Graaf MkII is provided with an IR receiver and is able to trap the ON/OFF commands from the remote controllers of all other Rockstars Series units. This allows user to power all the attached units on and off with a single command with the right switching order. The Nash is a dedicated preamplifier and phono equalizer for every cartridge model. It is provided with two phono inputs, one for low-level MC cartridges and one for medium-high level MC cartridges and MM cartridges. Its FET-input, all-discrete components circuits feature vanishingly low noise and plenty of gain, allowing for a stunning 2.5Vrms output with 5mV on MM and 170uV on MC. The passive RIAA is implemented with high precision polypropylene capacitors. MC interface paramenters (input impedance and MC pre-pre gain) are set by potentiometer from the rear panel. As well, MM interface parameters (input impedance and capacity load) are set by DIP-switches, again from the rear panel. The Nash is provided with a Bluetooth BLE interface for control and configuration. An Android (and soon iOS) app will allow user to fully control the unit and set the configuration parameters. A comprehensive, continuously updated pickups database will make configuration faster and easier. You control the Nash by the front panel encoder, using the remote control or by the dedicated Android app via Bluetooth. Operation data are displayed on a high readability OLED display. A menu allows for setting parameters like: anti-rumble filter, MM input stage gain, etc. Two auxiliary line-level inputs make the Nash a hub or switching box for analog sources, an interesting add-on when the Nash is used together with the Young MkIII, to fully exploit the latter’s only analog input. A Young MkIII-Nash-based system may have a total of four analog sources: two phono and two line-level. The Nash noise and sound performance can be further increased by replacing the stock wall adaptor with the Van Der Graaf MkII Low Noise Power Supply. The most requested range of PRIMERA guitars is evolving. Because everyone has the right to the best and whatever their budget, PRODIPE GUITARS launches the PRIMERA EQ. Designed for musicians and their comfort, the new EQ model incorporates the same characteristics as the acoustic model: Spruce top, back and sides in Mahogany Fitted bone for the Nut and saddle Double carbon reinforcements inserted in the neck for an optimal comfort, a thinner handle, a better balance and a reduced weight. Because we build instruments with the needs of the musician in mind, the new PRIMERA EQ is built with a 48 mm width at nut, always more comfort and a simplified access for acoustic guitarists looking for nylon feelings. Always equipped with our preamp EC1 - PRODIPE, extremely powerful and easy to use, it is already a reference thanks to its respect of the acoustic sound of the guitar and its bluffing presence. The EC1 pre-amplifier was conceived for a single purpose: to give a very natural, balanced sound rich in harmonics.
