The 14-inch diameter and 6.5-inch depth-measuring aluminum Acrolite shell, for example, resembles its legendary 1963 model down to the smallest detail. The surrounding bead provides the shell with the necessary stability to ensure even extremely high head tensions. The hammering of the shell gives the Acrolite Snare a more complex sound, peppered with harmonic overtones.
