Ο κλειστού τύπου σχεδιασμός του προσφέρει μπάσο γρήγορο και άψογα ελεγχόμενο, σε αντίθεση με τα ηχεία bass reflex.Το LS3/5A έχει παραχθεί από αρκετούς κορυφαίους κατασκευαστές ηχείων επί πολλές δεκαετίες. Ένας διαχρονικός ιδανικός του «συνεργάτης» υπήρξε πάντα ο Musical Fidelity A1, με την καθαρή Class A ενίσχυσή του. Ο συνδυασμός αυτός χαρίζει μια εξαιρετικά καθαρή, λεπτομερή και θερμή στερεοφωνική εικόνα.
