The cabinet’s width is minimized reducing visual mass, whilst depth is maximized to produce the deepest bass. We selected tough, high-grade, horizontally oriented line-grained composite to wrap the entire cabinet, which offers easily handled, easy cleaning. This more basic design vocabulary differs from the more refined finishes found in our other lines, however the top surface that catches one’s eye is beautifully finished in 5 coats of hand rubbed lacquer, creating the visual appeal we’ve come to be known for.TWELVE-INCH CARBONGLAS™ DRIVERREL’s driver prowess is on full display with the HT/1205, a modern 12” CarbonGlas™ (300mm) driver that is both lightweight and extremely stiff. While many competitors drone along with relatively slow, heavy cones HT/1205’s uses tough, stiff carbon fibre over 60% of the driven surface, backed by lightweight glasfibre. Naturally, we use true high quality natural butyl surrounds as they remain soft and pliable for decades—something REL owners have come to expect. HT/1205’s new 12” CarbonGlas driver sets a new standard for affordable, high performance theater-specific drivers.WARN THE NEIGHBOURS, IT'S MOVIE NIGHT500 Watts: To accomplish our single-minded goal of exceedingly high output for large-scale theater applications requires a special amplifier. Our NextGen5 Class D amplifier frees up interior space whilst running cool; this results in more cabinet volume and that translates into louder and deeper bass. 500 watts means the driver never is allowed to starve for power ensuring a long running, reliable design. Within HT-1205’s input filter, we designed in specific inverse filtering to permit our CarbonGlas driver to extend much deeper than traditional designs.ZERO COMPRESSION WIRELESS COMPATIBLEThere is wireless and there is REL wireless. We are well-known for having the finest wireless purpose-built systems in the entire component audio world. Though HT-Air™ is affordable, it retains our corporate fixation on zero compression and maximum dynamics. HT-Air is designed to leave old fashioned Bluetooth-based systems in the dust, delivery latency in the 16-20 millisecond range. This permits owners to place your HT/1205 where it works best for you without resorting to unsightly cables being strewn across the landscape of your living room, all while retaining our category-leading super-fast wireless.

T/7x is the perfect answer for the real world. It’s compact enough (and beautiful enough) to end arguments before they begin; while powerful enough to easily answer most needs and balanced enough to blend beautifully with many of the quality speakers out there and still flexible enough to work in specialty applications.Filtered for Purity - The Practically Perfect REL REL’s legendary High Level Input connection and fast filters are a significant chapter in the REL story. Connecting via the speaker outputs of your amplifier without drawing any power from it may seem like magic, but the real magic lies in the way the sound takes on a natural character and blends seamlessly with your speakers. Unique tuning and special limiters means the T/7x sounds fresher, faster and more dynamic than before.

T/7x is, without reservation, one of the most-balanced RELs of all time. In order to achieve perfect balance, a sub must weigh speed against heft, while ensuring true extension-depth-and do so in a physically harmonious package. T/7x manages to make it all seem easy. Quick and delicate for a perfect blend, it can pound out exceptionally deep, tuneful bass that belies its size and plays louder than most will ever require.Designed to be BetterMany don’t realize the intense connection between performance and design here at REL. Performance is everything to us and it leads to physical design solutions. Thus it is, that our engineers, in recognizing the need for greater cabinet volume to achieve the goals of greater fluidity and power, turn to the designer. He works dimensions to fool the eye into seeing a smaller, more compact footprint, even though cabinet volume increases. Using gently rounded corner radii that allows the eye to flow over and see less visual mass. The result is both modern and clean with no unnecessary adornment.Drive OnThe 8” long throw active and 10” passive drivers are where T/7x derives its incredible speed and clean finish. A thorough revision of critical suspension components are responsible for the agility and suppleness of T/7x. The T/7x sounds louder and more powerful is expected, but few would predict it also is faster, more reactive and transparent than our prior generation, itself a paragon of virtue. Stiffer suspensions better suited to advanced duty mean not only can each driver trace minute details, but also travel farther and handle more power.Tried and True Amplifiers - The Power Behind REL We have retained our signature Class A/B amplifiers used in every generation of Serie T since 2006. Reliability is the key to happy ownership and with some 200,000 and counting of this range leading long happy lives, Serie T/x owners can feel certain of REL’s standard setting reliability. The powerful 200-watt mosfet amplifier used in the T/7x remains an icon of sound and reliability with huge reserves of current. Massive power supplies are used and small upgrades are found everywhere. New driver mosfets that open up performance and transparency and new methods for securing the toroidal transformers mean better performance and superior reliability. The best gets better. Standby Mode switch is only included on 220V units.Zero Compression Wireless - Unlimited Possibilities At REL, we’ve developed a sterling reputation for building the finest sounding, fastest wireless systems available in the industry. REL never rely upon digital compression as it results in thin, lifeless sound. Instead, we have perfected an (optional) Arrow™ Wireless system; so fast and dynamic we’re comfortable encouraging the use of wireless on one channel of a pair of RELs while the other channel may be connected hardwired with cable.

No model in REL’s long history has sold more units nor engendered more affection than our T/5. Here reimagined in a modern, elegant, new form factor, T/5x’s mission remains the same: make remarkable bass far beyond its modest size, do so in a way that complements every interior’s style, and eliminate all visual distraction. Mission Accomplished.Designed for Elegance- Stunningly Simple Perfect for small and medium rooms, T/5x seats perfectly into any décor. Floor-firing is part of its secret; bass energy strikes the floor and spreads uniformly throughout the space making it perform like a larger model. For those picky about style, the hidden bonus is this design eliminates even the grill, rendering it the purest of forms.

Slightly larger in volume than its predecessor, it actually appears to be smaller due subtle design changes to minimize it’s visual presence. Finally, 5 hand polished coats of lacquer in your choice of High Gloss White or Piano Black add luster to the softly rounded cabinetry. Many don’t realize the intense linkage between performance and design here at REL. Performance is everything to us and so it drives physical design revisions. Our engineers, recognizing the need for greater acoustic volume to achieve the goals of greater fluidity and power, turn to the designer who works dimensions to fool the eye into seeing a smaller, more compact footprint even though cabinet volume increases. Using gently rounded corner radii that allows the eye to flow over and see less visual mass. The result is both modern and familiar with no unnecessary adornment.T/5x borrows a single longthrow 8” (200mm) bass engine from its elder sibling, T/7x. Developed using a composite of aluminum and light paper, this cone captures details that will amaze, while supplying sufficient energy to plumb deeper than one would expect for its size. In T/5x, its throw–the ability to play louder–has been increased. Internally, the suspension received numerous upgrades akin to transforming the handling of a car from a family sedan to a true sports car. More power, greater finesse.T/5x builds on its predecessor’s reliable, expensive 125 W Class A/B amplifiers. Internally, key items significant to upgrading transparency and speed have been upgraded at no cost to REL’s legendary reliability. Separate inputs for High Level Inputs, Low Level Input (necessary for the increasing number of powered active speakers emerging on the market) allow for a natural, perfect transition from speaker to subwoofer. And in theater a separate, dedicated .1/LFE Input for Theatre performance permits automatic transition between music in high end 2-channel applications and home theater without needing to change a single setting. Magic? No, superior engineering. Standby Mode switch is only included on 220V units.

Serie T/x is instantly seen as crisper, fresher, a full upgrade . Our goals were not simply to improve upon its illustrious predecessor, but to deliver as much as possible of our latest Serie S on a budget. Faster, more transparent sounding system performance awaits you with higher output levels and even greater impact. Serie T/9x: Bigger AND Better THE SERIES FLAGSHIP The job of any range topper for REL is to deliver more of everything, particularly output and dynamics. The 9x is no different in this regard, as it delivers the goods in both music and theatre applications. 9x, however, delivers a level of intimacy, clarity and speed that means there are no longer trade-offs between the sonic balance of smaller models weighed against the power and scale of a model 9. The all new 9x has even greater output than before, but the headline news is the way it sacrifices nothing in clarity and transparency to achieve this. At this price it opens the pathway for owners of high performance European floor and stand mounted monitors and smaller panel speakers to enjoy truly full range sound. Reimagined, Then Reengineered A COMPLETELY REDESIGNED FLAGSHIP Many don’t realize the intense linkage between performance and design here at REL. Using gently rounded corner radii that allows the eye to flow over and see less visual mass. The result is both modern and familiar with no unnecessary adornment. Outsized Performance INNOVATIVE ALLOY/FIBRE BASS ENGINES To achieve higher output with better control requires a complete overhaul of the suspension components. Much like the suspension on a sports car, these items are responsible for the tuning and feel of our designs. By increasing the cabinet volume, efficiency is improved yielding higher output for no more amplifier power. Less back pressure inside the cabinet means we can tune for a stiffer, better controlled driver suspension. We retained the best aspects of our previous design, such as the aluminum center cap responsible for stiffening the lightweight 10” (250mm) cone while adding almost no mass. The updated combination produces considerably better attack and dynamics with greater transparency. Tried and True Amplifiers THE BRAINS BEHIND THE BRAWN We have retained our signature Class A/B amplifiers used in every generation of Serie T since 2006.
